Spiritual Visions For Wellness was incorporated on August 21, 2003 as an ecumenical wellness based church organization and hosted its first educational and worship service on November 2, 2003 at 4250 Flat Rock Road inside the old Flat Rock United Methodist Church.

On April 18, 2004, SVFW moved to its services to the new Flat Rock United Methodist Church at 4542 Evans Mills Road. SVFW offer praise and worship services as well as health sessions twice a month centered on the theme of spiritual growth and wholeness.

SVFW was awarded a Steps to a Healthier DeKalb grant  March 2005-2008 allowing them to provide resources, screenings, and community based healthy lifestyles programs focusing on preventing diabetes, obesity, improving nutrition, and increasing physical activity.
